Best Exercise For Losing Weight!

What do you see when you look at this picture... Is it just a picture of a woman standing behind some art in a mis-captured photo... since the woman was obviously looking away from the camera?

Upon a closer examination of the picture, you notice that each of the three women in the sculpture are nicely dressed carrying a purse.  The woman in the orange top standing behind them is caught on camera trying to pick-pocket from one of the purses!  Ha Ha Ha or LoL!!! The photo was purposely taken to make the viewer laugh!

This leads me to as:  What is the Best Exercise For Losing Weight?

Laughter!  What?? Yes – laughter!  I didn’t say it was the fastest exercise to lose weight… just the best! If you laugh 10 minutes throughout the day, you could attribute the loss of 4 to 5 pounds a year to this fun exercise!  But that’s not the only health benefit to laughing.

Below are some more:
·           Laughter helps you live longer by reducing your blood pressure!
·           Boosts your immunity!
·           Known to reduce pain, tension and stress related illnesses.
·           Helps keep the heart healthy!
·           Improves brain functions!
·           Helps keep you more optimistic!
·           Can increase your confidence level!
·           Improves your self-esteem!
·           Literally, brightens your day!
·           Aids in healthier relationships with co-workers, public in general as well as
            loved ones.

These are just some of the benefits of laughter.

Laugh more and expect a profound positive effect on your entire mental and physical health!

Keep your sense of humor alive (learn to laugh at yourself and the world around you) … laugh your way to better health and well-being!

What Am I Saying?

'Palm Trees at Sunset'

Art speaks to people in different ways, as does various art forms speak differently to each individual.  Take for instance, music… music moves you with sound and beat.  Movies and dance, moves you through not only sound, but visually. The written word directs you by the words you read… and sometimes by the words, you don’t!  With each of these examples, usually the meaning is told to you by some method. Yet that’s not true with all art.

For example, paintings and drawings may carry a strong and sometimes very personal message to the artist, and a completely different meaning to the observer.

My acrylic painting above, makes me see more than just a sunset…(which you don’t really see.)  The beach chair and umbrella make me believe that its occupant is closer to the actual sunset, possibly even in the water!  It makes me reminisce of times on the beach, bringing back the sights, sounds and smells of a day on the beach and lastly enjoying the calming sunset.

'Embracing the Morning'

This picture is of a couple snuggling close - looking out on a new day.  I picture them on a mountaintop on a chilly morning…with their light jackets on.  This could also mean the start of a couple on a new journey in life for them.  Pictures speak on a personal basis to each!

Lastly, and sadly, this one has no name.  I was going to add some bright pretty colors to the flower petals, but sensed a calmness to the picture just as it was, so I left it.  It has a transparentness to it…hmmm…what’s it mean to you?  There is no wrong answer!

All the above pictures are original, 8 X 10, acrylic paintings on canvas.  They are all $40 each.  If interested, please email me at:  pjmartin2000@gmail.com.  Also, please share!

Thank you and Enjoy!!
